XLS, Excel’s old binary format
The . xls format, used by Excel up to the 2003 version, was replaced by . xlsx, based on a more modern open format. Many old files, exports from older business software, or legacy templates, though, remain in . xls format. Conversion is available on the free plan within its daily usage quota.
